Arrival Camp

12th August:

When I heard someone talking swedish on the airplane for the first time, I was so excited about it. Now it already sounds familar to me. We talk english in the camp, but the leaders talk to each others in swedosh.  The flight was not so special.
I really like the camp. Every YFU exchange sudent who spends this year in Sweden is here. They come from 24 countrys all over the world. I use nearly every language I speak. French, spanish, even th only 2 hungarian words I know, swedish, english and german of course
I share my room with 3 other girls. They come from Switzerland (but she doesn't speak german, she speaks french), Latvia and Thailand. The room is so small and our luggage is so big. That's a little problem. There are about 15 students from Germany here, We played some games together, to get to know each others better. Then some of us (I did) went swimming in the lake. It was so cold, but I enjoyed it anyway. It was evening and the sky was pink. The trees and the setting sun reflected on the water. Sweden is beautiful.
After swimming I went to my room and talked to my roommates. The latvian girl told us that it is "the night of the falling stars" and you can see a lot of them. We went outside, but sadly it was cloudy and we couldn't see a single falling star. After 10pm we had to go inside the house. We went to "the social room" and talked to other exchange students. It was really interesting to hear them talking about their countrys and it was very funny.
It's 1 am in the night and I'm really tired. I'm going to sleep now.

13th August

The girl from Latvia will probably go to the same school as I do. So happy to hear that.
Everyone's english is so good. I didn't expect that.
Everyone is so nice to each other.
Every photo I take looks like a photo for a postcard. I don't want to leave this place. I've been hear for a little more than 24 hours now and I already love Sweden so much! In this time I already....

Sweden is such a great place to be. You can drink water from the tap. We do this in Germany too, but the taste is not so good and I don't like it. But swedish water tastes like the water we buy in stores. It is so good, that I feel a little bad for wasting it when I take showers. The air is really good too. It doesn't stink when your on the country side. It's just fresh air.
Speaking more than one language is so confusing. I already forgot many german words and I stopped trying to translate every english words into german when talking to the Germans. It takes too much time anyway.
